The start of a new season is upon us!
To welcome in the autumn, several members have been planning a community potluck gathering on Saturday, October 15, from noon to 3 pm, at the Unitarian Church on Barr Road.
An invitation will be mailed to everyone soon with all the details.
The Association is providing Bratwurst and one other option, either pulled pork or hot dogs, and bottled water.
Members have signed up to bring a variety of dishes and desserts – chili, sauerkraut, potato salad, coleslaw, pancit noodle dish, broccoli salad, veggie plate with dip, apple crisp, cheese cake, guava cake, and pumpkin pie. Be prepared to eat!
There will also be a Biergarten with a keg of beer.
Background music will be provided and we may have a polka or two played by Ilse Osier on the accordion.
And that’s not all!
We’ll be holding two drawings. The winners will receive a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant. Tickets for the drawing are only $1 each!
Thirty eight folks have signed up to attend so far, but we hope to see everyone at the Fall Community Gathering!
